# Times comment editor collects web comments

The Times has a [handful of blogs already](http://www.timesonline.co.uk/weblogs?ref=onemanandhisblog.com), and has just launched a new one, [Comment Central](http://www.timesonline.typepad.com/comment/?ref=onemanandhisblog.com). It’s interesting because the paper’s comment editor is collecting the best comment from around the web and linking to it from his site. A national newspaper directly engaging with blogs like that? Very cool.

I \*do \*like the post [exposing the government’s split personality about chips](http://timesonline.typepad.com/comment/2006/09/given%5Ftodays%5Fan.html?ref=onemanandhisblog.com).

As an aside, I also find it very interesting that The Times’ blogs are hosted on [Typepad](http://www.typepad.com/?ref=onemanandhisblog.com) and, as yet, they’ve done nothing to integrate them with the existing domain structure – something that’s trivially easy to do with the service.
