Isn’t it interesting how the broadening of the communication channel causes gatekeepers of all stripes (in this case, the Tory press office) to [tie themselves into knots trying to define who is “media”](https://web.archive.org/web/20090804061859/http://tory-politico.com/2009/07/tory-press-officer-blogs-are-not-important/) and who isn’t?

Incidentally, I think they’ll live to regret that attitude on display here should the Tories win the election.

**UPDATE 2**: Perhaps he has more on his mind that a 6-month old post about daft PR decisions, given that he’s fighting a [cease-and-desist from the Capital News Company](https://web.archive.org/web/20100207181338/http://tory-politico.com/2010/02/big-media-try-to-shutdown-tory-politico) [The Register has covered the story](http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/02/04/politico%5Flawyer/?ref=onemanandhisblog.com).

**UPDATE 3**: And [it’s back](http://twitter.com/Tory%5FPolitico/status/8635291151?ref=onemanandhisblog.com)…
