# Should journalists use "words"?

I’ve not really felt inspired to comment on the whole “[should journalists check facts](http://charman-anderson.com/2012/01/13/a-healthy-debate-about-he-said-she-said-journalism/?ref=onemanandhisblog.com)” furore, because, really, me rolling my eyes doesn’t make for great blogging. But I couldn’t resist [linking to this](http://www.vanityfair.com/online/daily/2012/01/Should-emVanity-Fairem-Being-a-Spelling-Vigilante?ref=onemanandhisblog.com):
