In the shadow of a hurricane, [Google launched some new tablets](http://officialandroid.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/nexus-best-of-google-now-in-three-sizes.html?ref=onemanandhisblog.com "Nexus: The best of Google, now in three sizes"), a phone and a revamp of the latest version of Android.

Pondering this, I’ve come to the comclusion that we’ve [actually got two tiers of tablets](http://nextberlin.eu/2012/10/googles-new-nexuses-do-we-have-a-two-tier-tablet-market/?ref=onemanandhisblog.com "Google's new Nexuses: do we have a two tier tablet market?"): the Google/Amazon content tablet tier, and the Apple/Microsoft PC-replacement tier.

Which paradigm will win?
