# Crowdfunded blog platform Typed announces its forthcoming demise

Typed, the crowdfunded blog platform [I wrote about](https://www.onemanandhisblog.com/archives/2015/02/typed-blog-platform-crowdfunding.html?ref=onemanandhisblog.com) way back when, [is dying](https://forums.realmacsoftware.com/t/typed-com-future/13772/2?ref=onemanandhisblog.com):

> For the last 8+ months, Typed.com has been running at a loss. I’ve tried hard to make Typed.com viable, it’s a great platform and I still believe in it. However, at the end of the day, it comes down to cost. I can’t run Typed.com indefinitely at a loss. No one can run a business at a loss.

The founder announces that export functionality will be made available within the next week or so — or rather, [he did back in April](https://forums.realmacsoftware.com/t/typed-com-future/13772/4?ref=onemanandhisblog.com) when this was announced.

And the functionality still hasn’t been released, nearly three months on.
