[Charles Arthur](https://theoverspill.wordpress.com/start-up-1042-walmart-robots-google-apps-bitcoin-china-roblox?ref=onemanandhisblog.com#155299e0cb63cb768110136a89e9f558), talking about mainstream journalism's coverage of gaming:

I've been pondering this since Charles's newsletter arrived this morning. He's right, of course. There's precious little coverage of eSports, for example, especially given that it's now [a $1bn industry](https://finance.yahoo.com/news/global-video-games-industry-report-200000779.html?ref=onemanandhisblog.com), let alone gaming which has hit $96bn. 

Given how important gaming is to several generations right now, I can't help but wonder if we can find some of the reason between a disconnect between the traditional media and the young(ish) right here.
