*A couple of cool WordPress things have happened in the last couple of days…*
** **
**WordPress hits 3.4**

Some lovely little touches [in this WordPress release](http://wordpress.org/news/2012/06/green/), like the ability to embed Tweets natively from within the app, and to tweaks theme designs without having to get down and dirty with CSS. Once more WordPress is leading the way in making self-hosted blogging a non-technical experience by putting a great, simple user experience on top of things that used to require coding or FTP skills.
**Facebook releases an official WordPress plugin**
** **

There were a bunch of unofficial plugins to do this before, or your could drop the embed codes in manually, but this new [official Facebook WordPress plugin](https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/2012/06/12/facebook-integration-for-wordpress/) makes life nice and simple, and integrates Insights into the dashboard.
*The decision to stay with Movable Type or shift to WordPress on this blog has always been a balance of effort required to migrate versus benefit received. This goes just a little bit further to pushing me over the edge…*
