Site note: search is back

Everything old is new again.

I've never regretted moving this blog to Ghost, where it's been happily publishing for four years now. But one thing that has always bugged me was the lack of search support. Given that all the many platforms I'd used in the past had supported search, the lack of it in Ghost seemed, well, eccentric.

I explored some other options, including a theme that I used for a while that had hacked together a form of search using Ghost's content API. It slowed down the site too much, though, and I moved on months ago.

Well, as of a recent release, Ghost now has search, and you can explore the 19 years of archives here at will.
